Stardust Arabians Chickens

At Stardust Arabians we believe that chemical intervention should be kept to a minimum.  In keeping with that thought, we use free range chickens as biological pest control.  The chickens go through the manure piles, picking out seeds and bugs, scattering the manure in the process, which dries the manure out and kills worm eggs.  They also keep the grasshopper population down.  As a wonderful bonus, they provide more eggs than we can eat.  The eggs are delicious and nutritious.
