Looking for a Career?

Medical Technologists are in demand nationwide.  There are training programs all over the US, but we have one right here in Lawton, OK.  Contact me and I'll be happy to put you in touch with the right people.  MT's generally do not have much, if any, patient contact.  We work around the clock 365 days a year.  If you are a night owl, this might be the right job for you!  MT's also go on to other careers in the Health Care field.  We have a 4 year degree, with one year of training in the lab.  Most of us have Biology majors.  My degree is Biology with a Chemistry minor.  Our pay varies drastically nationwide, but an MT fresh out of school in Lawton can expect to make $18+ an hour with up to $7.50/hr additional money due to shift and weekend differentials.  A student who graduated just over a year ago is making well over $70,000 a year!  Many labs also offer overtime and "extra" money.  At one point our lab was offering an additional $12/hr ON TOP of overtime to fill shifts.

Here is the website of the hospital where I work:

If you are a Medical Technologist with an interest in Microbiology, we want to hear from you!  We are currently upgrading our LIS system and need help in Microbiology as I am busy trying to build tables and create reports.  Be it long term or just a couple of years you are interested in, give us a ring.
