Angyl has been genetically tested for color.  She is homozygous for red coloring, which just means that she is a chestnut.  She has also tested heterozygous for the "bay" gene.  Which means she can produce both black and bay, bred to a black based horse.  We also had her tested for the silver dapple gene.  She does carry one copy of this gene.  She can have silver dapple offspring bred to bay or black stallions.  Any chestnut offspring would not show the color, but might carry the gene as she does.
